CHRIS TRIBE
Team - Chris Tribe is a 23‑year veteran of healthcare recruiting and staffing, known for building high‑performance teams, transforming underperforming operations, and scaling businesses to meaningful enterprise value. His career spans permanent placement/Direct Hire, locum tenens/temp, and both clinical and non clinical positions giving him a uniquely comprehensive operator’s perspective across the healthcare talent ecosystem.
Most recently, Chris led a major turnaround within TeamHealth’s Post‑Acute Care Division, where he restructured, revamped and managed a 12‑person recruiting organization responsible for permanent/direct‑hire clinical staffing for over 2,000 locations nationwide. Partnering closely with the division’s President and Vice President, he redesigned the recruiting model, reduced team size by one‑third, and increased annual hires from 200 to more than 580. This operational uplift required deep systems work, process redesign, and cultural alignment—ultimately proving that disciplined recruiting infrastructure can materially improve clinical coverage and business performance.
Before TeamHealth, Chris served as President of SBG Healthcare, a locum tenens staffing firm he helped grow from startup to a $70M valuation. Under his leadership, SBG scaled rapidly, built a strong national reputation, and was acquired in 2023 by Epic Staffing Group. His ability to architect scalable systems, develop leaders, and drive revenue growth positioned SBG as a highly attractive strategic asset.
Earlier in his career, Chris was a top‑performing recruiter in both permanent placement and locum tenens. He ranked among the top three recruiters company‑wide at three different firms, frequently holding the #1 position. This foundation as a frontline producer informs his leadership style today—practical, metrics‑driven, and grounded in firsthand experience of what great recruiting execution looks like.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Chris splits his time between the U.S. and Newfoundland, Canada, where his wife is from. He attended the University of Hartford and maintains strong personal and professional relationships built throughout his career. Since 2011, he and his wife have built a full and lively family life raising their son and supporting their six nieces and nephews.
Today, Chris is focused on partnering with equity investors as an independent sponsor, leveraging his track record in healthcare staffing, operational excellence, and team‑building to acquire, integrate, and scale businesses in the healthcare services and recruiting sectors. His experience leading both early‑stage and mature organizations—and consistently delivering measurable performance improvements—positions him as a disciplined, high‑conviction operator capable of driving value creation from day one.
